Today marks the commencement of the Master Training program in Lusaka, Zambia a key initiative aimed at strengthening the pool of Master trainers within the CANECSA constituent member countries.
This is a five day training, facilitated by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI)and CANECSA Master Fellows, focusing on equipping thirteen (13) senior trainers ‘Train the Trainer ‘ from ten countries with advanced skills to become Master Trainers.
At the end of this program, participants will be eligible to train future trainers in their respective countries, ensuring a sustainable approach to capacity building in anaesthesiology and critical care medicine. Given the increasing demand for trainees, CANECSA remains committed to expanding its network of trainers to support the growing need for specialized training.
A special acknowledgment to our hosts, the Society of Anaesthetists of Zambia (SAZ), for their support in making this training a success.
CANECSA currently operates in twelve countries, with nine countries actively engaged in anaesthesiology and critical care training under its programs. This initiative is yet another step toward strengthening anaesthesia education and enhancing patient care across the region.
